I run because, even if it feels rough when I am in the middle of my second mile, I know that it will feel great later on.
Pulling the laces tight on my shoes early on a Sunday morning, stretching in the front yard before heading down my favorite running path with music pumping in my ears. This is my time. Each day, I’m able to push myself a little harder and go a bit farther. Feeling my body get stronger and faster makes even the cold mornings or the wet ones worth it.
It doesn’t matter whether you are training for your third marathon or doing the first day of the first week in Couch to 5K. Every step you run is a step in the right direction.
