1. Boston Marathon

3. Los Angeles Marathon
Ever wanted to go sightseeing in the City of Angels? If so, you should participate in the Los Angeles Marathon. This marathon runs from Dodger Stadium to the Santa Monica Pier, passing a variety of renowned landmarks in the process.

4. Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon
If you like a good time with your marathon, you should consider entering the Cincinnati Flying Pig. This marathon has a festive feel, characterized highly by its raucous post-race party. This year, it takes place on May 3rd.
5. Charlottesville Marathon
Characterized equally by historical landmarks and rustic beauty, the Charlottesville Marathon is a must-try for runners located on the eastern half of the United States. Going through downtown Charlottesville and passing by the Rivanna River, it will keep your mind occupied from start to finish. It’s occurring on April 4th.
6. Sugarloaf Marathon
Running your first marathon? If so, the Sugarloaf Marathon might be your best bet. Located in Eustis, Maine, this marathon is almost entirely downhill.
Characterized by mountains, rivers, and other forms of nature, it’s a sight for sore eyes. It takes place on May 17th.
7. Steamboat Marathon
If it’s a rural setting you seek, you should try the Steamboat Marathon. Taking place in Steamboat, Colorado, it’s situated along rivers, streams, grasslands, and, of course, the majestic Rocky Mountains. In 2020, it’s taking place on June 7th.
